Stage 4 prostate cancer is the type of cancer that begins from the prostate gland and if it is detected late or the treatment that one is undergoing fails to stop the growth, then it starts affecting the organs that are near it. These organs are the rectum and testicles.
Treatment for this type of cancer requires therapies that need to be aggressively administered. For patients with this cancer they must have passed all the other stages and have tried surgery, radiation and even chemotherapy but has not worked. For this type of people the best therapies are Androgen deprivation therapy or ADT which shrinks the prostate gland and slows down the growth of the cancer. If a patient does not respond to the therapies, the doctor suggests that they partake in clinical trails where new drugs and treatments are tested. In this way they help researchers and other people suffering from the same cancer.
