Ischemia is also known as ischemic cardio-myopathy. Ischemia is caused when there is not enough oxygen and blood reaching the heart’s walls. Cardio means heart and myopathy means problems in the muscles. The main symptoms of ischemia are rapid pulse and chest pain. The pulse might seem rapid and very fast. You may feel your chest, neck and facial muscles pulsate uncontrollably. But in some cases, the feeling of having no heartbeat is also experienced.
Other symptoms are pain in the spine and sternum, chest and heart muscles, sudden weight gain, swelling of feet and legs, nausea and chronic coughs. Some people urinate is less or excessive amounts. You also might have strokes and heart attacks. Ischemia is very serious. Regularly get your health checkups done so that the symptoms are detected early. If neglected for a long time, ischemia may lead to fatal heart failure staring from stores and myocardial infractions (heart attacks).
